Question composing a Industrial engineering resume for engineering students???

I came across many sample resumes on different sites. they stated widely about skills, achievements and job responsibilities. Has anyone else seen this? Do I just ignore it? I'm a little concerned about what will happen such sites to follow while preparing a resume?

Default A strongly held opinion

My advice: Eschew "functional" resumes. They remind me of the story of two drunks and the Skye terrier: Drunk #1: Which head of that dog is the head end and which is the tail end? Drunk #2: I don't know. Tell you what -- I'll stick a pin in it and you watch to see which end barks. -- Functional resumes make it hard for the reader to track career progression and to know which responsibilities the writer had in which jobs -- i.e. to tell head from tail.

Default Importance of Internships

During your academic course, and particularly as an undergraduate, do an internship. Prominently display it, including technologies used and lessons learned, on your résumé. Much the same applies, only slightly less forcefully, to mentioning work-based class projects on your résumé. (When I teach simulation at the local university, I always assign such a project and give this advice.) If your class project was done as a team project (e.g., you and 2 or 3 other students), emphasize your teamwork skills.
