Question Certifications for Simulation

Does a particular organization offer certifications for discrete event simulation? How well recognized is it in the Discrete event simulation industry. If so does anybody have an idea as to what the requirements might be? I would appreciate it if someone can give me a link to the DES certifications available.

Default Simulation Credential?

Even as a long-time member of IIE [Institute of Industrial Engineers] and a teacher of simulation at university level for many years, I am unaware of such certifications (such as those Novell Networks or Microsoft Office have). I will myself be most interested in the posts to this thread by others. E Williams

There is only one that I came across on the internet... It is called Certified Modeling and Simulation Professional.

requires Masters+5 yrs experience or Undergraduate degree + 8yrs and passing an exam.

I am not sure about how well recognized it is though.

Hope this helps... http://www.simprofessional.org/
