Default Production scheduling and sequencing

What is the difference between production scheduling and sequencing ?

“Sequencing” deals only with the specific ordering of products, while “scheduling” gives a more complete description as to when to start a particular production run.

The two terms are often used interchangeably since in most situations, once the sequence is determined, we can compute its corresponding schedule.

hi there

I would like to ask about some terminology in that area, such as Production Process, what does job shop, flow shop, open shop, batch production, mass production and assembly system (line) mean?

I hope to get a clear answer with examples
