Default Critical Chain Project Management

Hi All, since the Project Management board is nearly empty (with the exception of one thread), I've decided to introduce an article about Critical Chain Project Management: http://www.pmhut.com/critical-chain-benefits-from-traditional-pm .The article researches a way of integrating the benefits of Critical Chain into Traditional Project Management.

Thank you -- this article is highly interesting, and prompts me to ask: Suppose the project manager is using Microsoft Project (or one of many other similar software tools). Does MS Project have a canonical way of specifying "Task A is 'dessert'" (to use the metaphor in the article) and should be undertaken only if Task B ("meat") is complete, or X% complete by date Y, or some other context-reasonable criterion?

Hi ewilliams,

Sorry for the late reply. I have no idea if this is possible in MS Project. I use a somehow older version of MS Project and I try my best to avoid tinkering with its advanced features (my version has only 1 undo, so you an imagine).
