How to model Set up

Hi everyone,

I am simulating a single machine facility with multiple products and would like to model set ups which are necessary every time before a different type of product enters the ressource with its specific amount of order.

I appreciate your suggestions.

Greetings. What software package are you using? Arena, SIMUL8, WITNESS, ProModel, etc. all have slightly different ways of modeling this situation; all can do it. Interestingly, this situation arises in health care facility simulation too: e.g., the technician at an X-ray machine may need setup time if patient #1 needs a chest X-ray and patient #2 needs an ankle, possibly broken, X-rayed.
